Start with the diagnosis
Ask a qualified technician to identify the fault and explain the repair needed. A pump that is noisy, leaking or failing to start can have different causes.
Get the proposed parts and labour in writing. Ask whether further work could become necessary once the equipment is inspected.
Compare the complete options
A repair offer should identify the parts, labour and any testing included. A replacement offer should identify the new model, connection work, commissioning and disposal or removal arrangements.
Compare the full scope of both options. A motor price and a complete installed pump price do not represent the same work.
Check the system fit
If replacement is proposed, confirm the required flow, filter compatibility, electrical supply and dimensions. Do not assume that a new pump with the same horsepower will behave exactly like the old one.
Ask whether the installation requirements have changed since the existing equipment was selected.
Include future support
Consider the documents, warranty terms and parts route for the proposed option. Keep the inspection report with the quotation. COREX receives replacement equipment and parts enquiries; include the existing model, technician findings and your delivery location.
