Identify the basket and instructions
The pump basket and filter media are different parts. Learn which basket belongs to the pump and obtain the instructions for opening and refitting its lid.
Do not assume that a familiar looking lid uses the same mechanism as a previous pump. Ask the installer to demonstrate the correct procedure at handover.
Prepare the system before opening
Isolate power so the pump cannot start unexpectedly. Release pressure and follow the model’s valve and opening instructions before removing a lid.
If you do not understand the procedure, have a qualified service provider carry out the task. Never force a lid while the system is pressurised.
Check and record the condition
After cleaning as instructed, look for visible damage to the basket or lid components. Tell the service provider if there are cracks or a damaged seal.
Use the specified method to refit the basket and lid. Restart and prime only according to the equipment instructions, and observe whether normal circulation returns.
Ask for a matching replacement
If a basket or lid needs replacing, send COREX the pump model and photographs. Ask for the compatible part reference and available quantity. Similar appearance alone does not establish that a replacement will fit.
