Use the normal reading as a reference
There is no single normal pressure for every pool system. Record the filter’s clean operating reading together with the pump setting and valve arrangement.
When the reading changes, compare it with that baseline and the filter instructions. A number copied from another installation may not apply to yours.
Describe the complete symptom
Tell the service provider whether return flow has changed, air is visible, a gauge reading has risen or fallen, or a valve has recently been moved. Include any cleaning or service work carried out before the problem.
A pressure gauge is an observation point. It is not a complete diagnosis of the pump, filter and pipework.
Follow the equipment procedure
Have the system checked against its instructions. Keep electrical work and internal inspection with qualified personnel. Do not open pressurised equipment or change a filter valve while the pump is running.
If the filter instructions indicate cleaning is required, use the procedure for that model and media type.
Share evidence with COREX
Send the pump and filter models, readings, settings and photographs when requesting product support. Ask for the relevant documentation. The most useful first step is to explain what changed, rather than asking for a larger pump to increase pressure.
